1959 Höfner 500/5 Bass
Selmer started importing Höfner's 500/5 bass in late 1958
and it instantly became the best bass available in the UK at the time.
Many beat combos played one but this beautiful instrument will forever be associated with
The Beatles' original bass player, Stuart Sutcliffe.
Identical in every detail to Sutcliffe's original (including the correct bridge!),
this rare late 1959 bass is in mint all original condition.
Complete with its rare original Jakob Winter hard case, it even still has the original Pyramid strings!
A true collector's piece, it’s the cleanest one we’ve come across so far.
