1962 Epiphone Wilshire SB-432 LH
First produced alongside the Coronet and the Crestwood in 1959,
the Wilshire was Epiphone's take on Gibson's Les Paul Special:
mahogany body and neck with two P-90 pickups.
But its combination of stud tailpiece and tune-o-matic bridge made it a superior design
and was a feature not seen since the original Les Paul Standards and Customs.
This incredibly rare 1962 Epiphone is probably the only early style Wilshire that Gibson made:
in over 15 years of looking for one, no other has been not seen nor heard of.
It is in sublime condition, it must have been a special order that has been stored away for decades.
All the hardware on it is original but it has had a neck reset (no breaks anywhere!)
and some Grover tuners had been fitted at some point (Klusons are safely back on).
Comes complete with its grey case showing clear rub marks on the inside
that can only have been made by a left handed Wilshire!
