1964 Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass

The Hofner Violin Bass has become one of the most iconic musical instrument ever designed
thanks to its most famous user, Paul McCartney.
So strong is the association that the bass is also affectionately known as the “Beatle Bass”.
A few months after the birth of Beatlemania, the Selmer London company started importing
the 500/1 in the UK and supplied them with an iconic tweed case.

This 1964 500/1 is in excellent all original condition,
it’s had a compulsory neck reset and both pickups are still strong.
Complete with its original export soft case (can be supplied with a German reissue hard case if preferred).
