1964 Höfner 500/2 Club Bass
The 500/2 was introduced in late 1964 it and it shares neck, pickups and controls with the 500/1.
It has become a classic bass in its own right and has been played by some famous musicians,
including the great Tina Weymouth from Talking Heads,
Phil “Fang” Volk from The Raiders and Tom Petty.
A great sounding and looking bass with some light play wear,
one of the very first 500/2 produced and fitted with a narrow control panel.
These early 500/2 basses are incredibly rare, they were produced in much
smaller numbers than their Violin Bass older cousins.
Complete with export soft case.
